The North Augusta SERTOMA club is pleased to announce the 2nd annual Hammin & Jammin BBQ Cook Off, Crafts Fair and Music Festival at the CSRA community’s premier multipurpose event complex, The Hippodrome in North Augusta, SC. featuring a large cooking area and indoor facilities for arts & crafts.

“Hammin and Jammin” is a barbeque cook-off, a crafts fair, and a music fest all rolled into two fun filled days at the North Augusta Hippodrome on May 16 & 17, 2008. Tickets are required and will be sold through various outlets and at the gate.
Friday, May 16 (5:00 PM - 10:30 PM) – Open to VIP* ticket holders.
General Public Admission - $10.00 at the gate with dinner (While Supply Last)

• The contestants are required to prepare BBQ chicken provided by
North Augusta Sertoma for judging. Chicken dinners are provided to VIPs and
ticket holders purchased at the gate.
• Soft Drinks, beer & food will be sold throughout the evening by North Augusta Sertoma Club.
• The vendor's areas will be open from 5:00 PM until 10:30 PM.
• The bands will start performing at 6:30 PM and conclude at 10:30 PM.

Saturday, May 17 (8:00 AM - 10:30 PM) – Open to all Saturday ticket holders.
General Admission - $10.00 in advance or $15.00 at gate (Children 8 & under FREE with paid admission)

• Judging of the barbeque prepared through the night by 50 cook teams. The South Carolina Barbeque Association has established rules for the contest and will provide judges from around the state. Barbeque will be available after professional judging for sampling & judging (Peoples Choice Award) by all attendees.
• A “Kids Zone” available for children from 11:00 AM until 4:00 PM which will consist of an inflatable jumping and/or climbing area. COKE Fun Zone.
• The Vendors' area will be open from 10:00 AM until 10:00 PM.
• Soft Drinks, beer & food will be sold throughout the day by North Augusta Sertoma Club.
• Local bands, (country, bluegrass, etc) will perform from 12 Noon until 7:00 PM.
• Buddy Jewell will be performing from 9:45 PM until 10:30 PM.
